So, back in April I was visiting the old part of Salvador called Pelourinho. The interesting fact about this part of the city is that it served as the primary capital of Brazil before the state of Rio de Janeiro's capital Rio de Janeiro became the second capital of the country, and in 1959 the city of Brasília became the current capital. Brasília is located in the federal state called Distrito Federal, meaning the Federal District (it kinda makes sense...). The district is placed in Goiás.
But the interesting thing about the old part of Salvador is that Michael Jackson recorded his video "They Don't Care About Us". It is recorded in the streets, and the percussion drums you can see in the video is being performed by Olodum.
